“Let’s Dance” crowned the best primetime format
The “Who’s Who” of the television industry met Thursday evening in Dusseldorf. For the 20th time the ARD, RTL, SAT.1 and ZDF donated the German Television Award. RTL and n-tv were able to celebrate honors in three categories: For the “Best Information”, the jury honored Antonia Rados as the best foreign reporter for her report “Yemen’s Slow Death”. The best primetime show was “Let’s Dance”. Jenke von Wilmsdorff received the award for “Das Jenke Experiment” in the infotainment category. For the 53-year-old, it was already the fourth nomination – finally it has worked out well. He himself joked: “I feel a bit like the Leonardo DiCaprio of the Television Award”.
TV multi-divisor “Gladbeck” awarded several times
Another clearer of the evening was “Gladbeck”. The creators of the TV multi-divisor were happy about the hostage drama of 1988: “Best Multi-Player”, “Best Editor” and Albrecht Schuch as “Best Actor”.
The Honorary Prize of the founders of the German Television Award went to Jürgen von der Lippe this year. The comedian had even left the Hawaiian shirt in the cupboard and accepted the award in a chic black outfit. The best series was awarded the production “Bad Banks”. The Best Actress Award went to Vicky Krieps for The Boat.
